Well the naked ladies are back!!

That is what they call these pink flowers. Shawn planted the bulbs years ago. Every year they have green foliage that dies back and then up out of the dirt come these long stalks with these beautiful flowers on them. I dug up some of the bulbs and planted them out back but the gophers dug them up so the flowers didn't come up this year! We went to Cory's and Kristals for dinner Sunday and had a great time. We have had lots of fun going to their house since they moved to Tracy! I won't post all the pictures I took at the park of the kids...see Kristal's blog for that! But I can't resist putting these up...

This is Jonny wearing underwear on his head! When we were getting ready to go for a walk he had a little baseball cap on. He said look Grandma and he took off the cap. Underneath the cap were his underwear....I told him good idea to always have extra underwear! This is Butters in the back seat of the car on the way to Tracy. She was so cute sitting there with her little Bibbitt(stuffed frog toy). She put the toy there herself.

And now to gross everyone out and to prove that Dogs are better than Cats...here is the gopher that Butter's caught all on her own!

We are waiting for her to send us some pictures of her in GA. She should be back to Temple Square on Oct. 1,2008 to finish her mission. Adam's 1st. Birthday!

Before Shawn left we had a little party for Adam. Instead of a cake, which he would have the next day on his real birthday, we made cookies and put ice-cream between them for an ice cream sandwich. Adam just had his ice-cream on the top of his cookie....he wasn't too happy about that!

Between the Birthday Party and going to the Fireworks we took some time to put a marker on the map to guess where Christy was going to go on her Mission. She would leave her Temple Square mission and go somewhere in the U.S. for a couple of months and then back to Temple Square. She was fairly nervous about it and just said she was ok with anywhere but was worried to go somewhere in the Southern U.S. She was worried about the fried food and wierd things that she heard they eat down in the South. It was funny, I knew where she was going becasue I got a call from her companion who told me where she had got her call to. Kristal kept saying that she was going to guess Atlanta Georgia. When it came time to put all the markers on the map Kristal decided to change her guess to ...I think South Carolina or something. The other guesses were Texas, New York, Boston, North Dakota...and some other places I can't remember now. When I put the life saver (Christy's favorite candy...the mint ones!) on Atlanta Georgia Kristal screamed...She had guessed right then changed her guess at the last moment....So off to Atlanta Georgia goes Christy...fried food and all!!

The 4th of July Week

Shawn came down for the 4th of July week so Cory and Kristal and the kids all came down and stayed at our house too for the week. We had a really fun time...it was like a vacation for all of us. The boys played video games all hours of the night, we went to Sweet Tomatoes, brought in pizza, went to the movies, the beach, the 4th of July parade, the fireworks, had 2 birthday parties, had a little excitement with the neighbors...it was a fun filled week!!

Our plum tree was dropping plums like crazy. The kids...especially Adam and Ethan were loving it.

Off to the Beach we go...the weather was beautiful and we all had a great time...the 3 boys, Cory, Shawn and Jimmy paid for it with sunburns though!

Shawn dug a large hole in the sand. Ethan spent the whole day digging in and rolling and falling in the hole...only taking a break every now and then to knock Jimmy's or Grandpa's sand castles to pieces!

We got up early...to early for some...and went to the parade. We took some Krispy Kreme donuts and juice and had a fun time!

What's this?! A picture of Shawn with...oh gross...really long toe nails! Megan said it was because Shawn was being mean to her by calling her Miss Poopy Pants and Little Bunny Foo Foo! On Sunday on our walk Shawn picked a flower and put it in Megan's hair. Megan then said she would draw Shawn a picture with better toe nails.
