Kristal's Birthday!
On Sunday we celebrated Kristal's birthday! Happy birthday to Kristal!
On Sunday morning we all attended Sacrament Meeting for the Kids Primary Program. It was wonderful. All of the children did such a good job. But of course Jonny and Megan were the shinning stars in our eyes! They each had a part and Megan even sang with a group of girls. I had a hard time trying not to cry through the whole program. Whenever I see a Primary Program at church I get all choked up. The children are just so beautiful and precious.
After church we had some yummy soup that Kristal made. We then all settled down for a rest and to watch Jonny's favorite Star War's movie...I must confess I mostly saw the inside of my eyelids! For supper Kristal made dinner in a pumpkin, a Halloween favorite. After dinner we had birthday cake and ice-cream. Kristal made an apple cake with carmel drizzle for frosting. It was stupendous!! We got to sing to Kristal and watch her open her presents. Then it all came to an end and we drove the long road home to Fremont. Thanks for a wonder and fun week-end Cory, Kristal, Jonny, Megan, Ethan and Adam!
Kristal ...how many candles to you count!
Jonny had a school project where he had to make shapes. He made a cone out of a paper plate. They decided to make many cones and decorate them for party hats! Clever and fun idea! Here is Jimmy looking super cool in his "party hat"!
Kristal with her new video game!

Ethan wearing Jimmy's shoes. Both Ethan and Adam like getting the men's shoes and wearing them around!

Let me out! Let me out! Adam and Ethan trying to be the first out the door!

The long road home again...Butter's waiting patiently for us to finish saying good-bye and get in the car to go home.

Megan and Jonny's School Open House!

While we were at Cory and Kristal's home we got to go to Megan and Jonny's school open house! It wasn't very far away...just upstairs in the "school room". It was amazing! Both Jonny and Megan have been super busy. They had some of their school work and projects they have been working on. Jonny is busy with his math and showed us an experiment that he did showing how water turns into a gas. Megan showed us her plant that she grew from a seed, her experiment with trying to get worms to turn into beetles...the life cycle. She also did a time line of her life. They showed us the books they are reading and the workbooks they are working in. What a wonderful job they are doing! Kristal is doing a wonderful job home schooling them! It looked like a lot of fun. I think I should have done home schooling myself! The kids are doing some very fun things and they were so excited to show us all their hard work!

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze!
On Saturday we went to Cory and Kristal's to spend the night and attend their Primary Sacrament Meeting Program. We got their Saturday afternoon and headed for the biggest corn maze/pumpkin patch I have ever been t0! They had a pumpkin patch, huge corn maze, haunted house, pumpkin blasting, pony rides, jump houses and play areas for kids, food, dog costume judging...all kinds of stuff. The weather was beautiful...actually quite warm for an October day. We started off by checking out out the pumpkins. Then we started for the corn maze but got side tracked...there was a booth that was giving away free Ghirardelli chocoate squares ! All that you wanted! They had just started giving them away as we were walking by so we were among the first to notice. We were able to pick up our share before most people knew what was happening! So we had enough chocolate to help us make the long trek through the corn maze. The corn maze was "amazing"! We had a fun time wondering around in the maze til the sun set! Then we got out before all the gouls and goblins started showing up! (interpeted that means....teenagers with flashlights!)
A picture of some of us ready for the adventure of the maze!
They did have an animal pen but some how these animals were left to roam around! Which way to go?

The Blue Angels!
So this was last week-end. Mike, Jimmy, Cory, Megan and Jonathan went to San Francisco to see the Blue Angels airshow. They had a great time! I went with Linda Gadd and Wanda Drummond shopping and to lunch. Wanda came down from "up north" for the week-end so "us girls" had a day out! It was like old times! We will have to get Wanda out here more often!
Here are some pictures that Jimmy took in San Fran. at the airshow.

More pictures from Christy!
Christy sent these pictures that she took just before leaving from GA. It has taken me a while to get them posted!
Here she is by the town of Hamilton's sign.
This she said is her with an awesome investigator!
Here she is with all the sisters from Temple Square marking their 1 year milestone! (Can't believe it has been a whole year since she left on her mission!)

Christy is back at Temple Square!
So Last Wed. Christy flew back to Temple Square from GA to complete the last 6 months of her mission. Boy it is going fast! She was able to call us from the airport in GA but we haven't heard from her since. We are not sure when her p-day is, that is when she e-mails us. We were thinking it would be yesterday or today but we haven't heard from her yet. We know she got back to Salt Lake safely thought because Dad's cousin Doug's boy Dan went to conference and took the following picture with her! Doug sent us the picture. Shawn went to the Priesthood session but couldn't find Christy. He said there were just too many people there. So we know she is back to work at the square. She was sad about leaving Georgia though. She was able to commit a lady for baptism just before she left and was sad that she wouldn't have that opportunity again. She loves Temple Square though so I think she will adjust back to the work there and be successful.
So here she is with cousin Dan Patten...looks like it rained in Salt Lake!
Jimmy had an assignment in digital photography class and took this picture of Butters running and jumping after her ball...I thought it was pretty cool looking! He is enjoying school this semester even though some of his teachers are not the best. Overall though Ohlone has been a good place to get an inexpensive education. Next year he will have to transfer to a University which will be a lot more expensive...
I will call this picture...Butters in Motion!
