Where's Butters??
So today I was talking on the phone to Stacy when I realized I could hear Butters barking from a distance. I thought that she had got herself shut in one of the bedrooms. Sometimes she goes in and then knocks the door shut and can't get out...she hasn't learned how to open doors yet! Anyway she had stopped barking so I was walking around the house calling for her and couldn't hear anything. I started to get worried after I looked in all the rooms and closets. I got Mike involved in the hunt and we were both scouring the house. I was upstairs and I hear Mike calling "Pam...down here!" I walked down stairs and into the laundry room...which I had already checked once. This is what I saw!!!
She had a bath last night...maybe she still felt like she needed another cleaning! We figured she jumped from the laundry basket to the dryer and somehow got herself in the washer. I would have loved to see her do this!

A July Birthday Boy!
We went to Cory and Kristal's home to celebrate Adam's 2nd. birthday. Kristal made a "monkey cake" for him. It had little bananas on it and a little monkey on the top. It was very cute and Adam was thrilled!
Happy 2nd. year Adam!
Visiting those we miss...
While we were in Utah for the 4th of July we stopped in to visit mom's grave as well as Dad's, my brother Jim's, Grandma and Grandpa Butler's all in Payson Cemetary and then to Provo to visit Mike's mothers grave and baby David's grave.

Megan and Addison waiting to be saved on their island! Jonny having fun scooping up the water!Ethan still eating......!! For desert we got a birthday cake for Shawn and sang happy birthday. It will be a great 29th. year for Shawn thanks to Kim! When it got dark Shawn and Cory got out the fireworks! They drove to Wyoming the night before along with Jimmy to load up on fireworks...this is beginning to be a bad tradition!!

They started off sane enough but after almost setting the house, the trees, the spectators and themselves on fire the hour drew late and they decided to pack in in....only to bring the fireworks back to Shawn's home and setting off a couple of more that nearly landed them in the emergency room!

And so ended our fun filled 4th of July!!!

A Family Reunion!

After leaving St George we drove up to Midvale to stay with Shawn and attend a family reunion on July 4th. Cory and his family drove up the day before and Christy flew up so we had quite a crowd at Shawn's place! Kim (Shawn's fiance) was so nice and invited anyone who wanted to stay at her home so Christy opted to sleep at Kim's place and enjoy the quiet!

The 4th began with us going to Provo and picking up Christy's friend Paul who flew down to visit his sisters going to the Y. We then drove up Provo canyon to Timp lodge for the Floyd and Fanny Patten reunion. It was very nice. Cousin Doug did a wonderful job putting it all together. There was pizza to eat which the kids loved and....we all witnessed something incredible...Mike ate pizza! He has actually eaten pizza at least one other time in his life...he hates cheese!...but we had never witnessed Mike eatting anything with cheese so it was a first for us!!

I don't have a picture of Mike eatting the pizza...I think Shawn has one though. I will have to get a hold of it and post it for anyone who doesn't believe!!

Here is Paul, Christy, Jimmy, Cory and Ethan enjoying the food.

After a lot of eatting and some visiting we walked around the beautiful surroundings and decided to try and get a group picture.

Stacy in one of her recent blogs was saying how hard it was to get 3 children to be looking the same way for a group photo...
Well...try getting this group to all look good...

Better...

I think this is the best we can do!

Selling Mom's Home
At the end of June Mike and Jimmy and I went to St George to clear out mom's house and sign the papers to sell her home.
Kathy and Fred came on Tuesday night. Early Wednesday morning we were up helping Kathy and Fred to gather up the stuff that Kathy was taking home. We were sure that they would not be able to fit all the stuff in the large truck that they drove but to our surprise they were able to fit it all in!
Mike took this picture as they were pulling out of the drive way. We said that it looked like the Beverly Hillbillies...only with a better truck of course!
After they left I spent the day organizing the rest of the stuff. Some to go to Kevin...some to Brian...some to myself...and some to DI. There wasn't a lot of cleaning to be done but I had to clean the shelves the cabinets, the oven etc. When I turned on the oven to self-clean I forgot that in St. George you can't open a window to let out the smell because it is so hot. We had to abandon the house and go to dinner while the oven was cleaning!
Jimmy and Butters...goofing off.
Jimmy and Butters taking a nap...Butters on the pillow...Jimmy at the foot of the bed! Seemed it should have been the other way around to me!
The weather wasn't too bad while we were in St George. In the evening Jimmy and Butters and I were able to take a walk.
This is a picture of the back of mom's house that I took from the path below by the creek. On Thursday we packed up the stuff that we were taking and on Friday Kevin and Brian came and packed up their trailers. I went in and signed the papers for the house on Friday too.
After Kevin and Brian left I did the last minute cleaning.
Then we put the keys to the house in the drawer, locked the house up, shut the garage door and ran out before it hit us. And with a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes we drove away.
