Doctrine and Covenants 128:22

"Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad. Let the earth break forth into singing. Let the dead speak forth anthems of eternal praise, to the King Emmanuel, who hath ordained, before the world was, that which would enable us to redeem them out of their prison; for the prisoners shall go free."

A day of rejoicing and exceeding gladness!!
On May 22, 2010 My siblings and I were able to get together in the Oakland Temple and seal our parents Jess H. Angus and Ernadene Angus together for time and all eternity. We were also able to seal our brother James R. Angus who passed away in his 20th. year to our parents. Each of us were able to be sealed to our parents...connecting the eternal chain. It was a very beautiful and emotional day. We feel so blessed to be able to do this. I know that my mother, father, brother, grandparents and others are celebrating on the other side of the veil. What a blessing that Heavenly Father has blessed us with...Eternal Families. I am so thankful for this blessing, for temples and the priesthood power of sealing.

Michael's High School Reunion
The Class of '68'
Yup...he is that old! Michael wanted to go to his 42nd. High School Reunion because they were holding it at his old High School which they are going to tear down this summer. It was his last chance to see his old school, and of course he wanted to see some of his old classmates. We flew up on a Friday night and back home on Sunday afternoon. The reunion was held Saturday night. They had a buffet dinner, a tour of the school and lots of visiting. Michael was able to see a lot of his old classmates. He had a really good time and I think I was a good sport!

We stayed at Shawn and Kim's home while we were in Utah. They were at Disneyland, but came back on Saturday night. We got to visit with them a little that night before bed. That night Shawn took Kim to the hospital. She was vomiting, having a lot of pain in her back and having contractions. She ended up having a pretty bad kidney infection. We all had a pretty bad scare. Her contractions stopped and she was released from the hospital that Tuesday. We were so glad that Kim and the baby were ok.

Mothers Day

I had a great Mother's Day! After church we drove to Cory and Kristal's home for dinner. Cory had prepared the whole dinner. He wouldn't let Kristal and I do anything. Cory had given Kristal new dishes, silverware, a new table cloth and place mats and a pretty plant for Mother's Day. He had the dining room table all set up so nice! The dinner was delicious and the best part was I didn't have to lift a finger! Cory and Kristal got me a nice card that Kristal made and a pretty purple flowering plant. Jimmy got me a really pretty purple flowered lily plant and Michael gave me a Kindle!

Butters visit to the vet!
I know a cat has nine lives...Dogs I don't know! Friday night Jimmy came home to find me on the computer and Butters in the family room scattering a baggie of Tylenol from my purse all over the floor. We couldn't tell if she ate any of them. I got on the Internet and decided we better call the vet. They told us to hurry and bring her down. So we packed her up and went to the vet. When we got there the vet brought us back and he gave Butters a shot to make her barf. Poor little Butters...everything came up! The vet looked through her vomit but couldn't see anything...at least that looked like Tylenol! He did see some weird things...I had to explain that I was working in the yard that day and Butters did eat some disgusting things while outside. After the vomiting he gave her a shot to make her stop....ka ching...ka ching. Then he squirted some charcoal down her throat just for the heck of it...actually just in case some pills did dissolve. (We didn't think she actually ate any at that point). Poor Butters...she then barfed up the charcoal so they had to give her more. She had black charcoal stuff all over her face...the more they tried to wipe it the more it spread. I thought if they don't stop soon we will have a black dog instead of a white dog! Anyway it wasn't the kind of Friday night I had in mind! We didn't get home til around 10:00...and it cost over $150.00! I can think of a 100 things I would rather do with $150.00 on a Friday night!
Here is Butters with the charcoal all over her face...
Who looks more bummed...me or Butters!
April 2010...
So It has been awhile since I posted on my blog...I have to keep this up if I am going to keep this as a history...so here is a quick update working backwards...
I finally got my granite counter top and stainless steel appliances! We got the stove a year or so ago. The refrigerator had broken down twice and Mike got it to work again, then our dishwasher fell apart. So it was time to replace. I decided to replace the dishwasher and fridge along with getting a granite counter top while we were at it. Now the kitchen appliances actually all match! I am really enjoying it! It was funny...when you start to do something it always turns out to be more. We actually ended up replacing the sink and disposal at the same time. As soon as we finished the kitchen our microwave started acting up...today it finally quit. Ahhhhhh...going without a microwave is torture! I don't know how we did it before microwaves!
Jimmy thinking it over...
