A Beautiful Thanksgiving at Grandma Angus's in St. George Utah!
We packed up Butters and Jimmy in the back seat of the car and headed for St. George Utah on the Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving. We didn't get very far before we hit a snag in the trip. Some power lines had fallen across highway 5 and they had shut the freeway down in both directions. We had no choice but to sit in traffic for a couple of hours just inching along. Just before we got to where the power lines had fallen PG&E came and cleared the lines off the road, it took PG&E 2 hours to get to the lines and pick them up off the road! What's with that! We were excited to see the gas prices lower all across Nevada! It was great, we paid about $1.70 per gallon more or less for the trip...more in Fremont and less in Utah. We arrived in Utah safely that evening.
This is how Jimmy spent the trip to Utah and home again.
This is how Butter's spent the trip to and from Utah! She was really good...sleeping most of the way.
Here are some random pictures I took.
This is Grandma, Kevin, Mike Breanna and Jimmy...waiting for the meal to begin!
Brian and Kevin and Mike sharing something funny while carving the turkey!
Our trip home was long long long...lots of stop and go traffic and very thick fog...it took us about 14 hours to drive it. It should have been 3 hours shorter!
Now I am in the Christmas crunch...trying to get all the Christmas decorations up, get my shopping done...do all my Primary sharing times for the month...keep butters out of the Christmas decorations..................................!

Funny picture of Jimmy and the puppies... they all look the same, except Jimmy of course. Funny you gotta keep Butters out of the decorations, just like my two wiggle puppies. I can't believe Adam actually bit one of the glass ornaments!
Seeing all your pictures of the relatives at Thanksgiving makes me miss all of them. Cory really wants to take us out there again soon.
Getting caught up on my commenting! Glad you finally made it home, we do not miss taking long car trips! So crazy how different everyone looks, it's been a while since we've been to Thanksgiving!
