2010 Temple Sealings!

An Eternal Family linked together forever!!

What a wonderful Day!! My brothers and their spouses, Kevin and Debbie, Brian and Denise, my sister Kathy, Me and Mike and our two children, Cory and Christy were able to go to the Oakland Temple and participate in sealing ordinances. We were able to seal our Mother, Ernadene Butler Angus to our Dad, Jess Hosmer Angus. We then were able to seal our Brother James Russel Angus to our parents and then each of us were able to be sealed to our parents. It was a very emotional and spiritual day. I knew that those on the other side of the veil were as happy as we were! I know that this day was a celebration for them as much as it was for us. To be able to link our family together was something that I have prayed for most of my life. I did not want to leave the temple and the spirit I felt while there. It was one of the most amazing and spiritual days of my life. I felt that my parents and my brother were ready and waiting for this work to be done. What a blessing!

Graduations and New Beginnings 2010

James...or Jimmy as we call him...graduated from Ohlone with two degrees...one in Graphic Design and the other in Communications!! (graduating with honors!) Then he was off to Sacramento State in September to finish his education. He finished his first semester at Sac State with a 4.0 grade point average...way to go Jimmy!!!!

Hospital Visits 2010!

Butters visits the emergency room after eating some tylenol out of my purse! After a shot to make her empty her stomach, putting some yuccky black stuff down her throat and paying the vet an obscene amount of money Butters was as good as new!

Pam visits the emergency room after experiencing stomach pains...after giving her a shot...which did not make her empty her stomach, making her eat some yucky stuff and taking some pictures of her insides...and paying the hospital and doctor an obscene amount of money she was ...well lets just say she is still paying for the experience!

Home Improvments 2010

Built a shed for the backyard. Then promptly filled it up!

Put in new granite counter tops, new sink and new stainless steel appliances.

Trips in 2010

A Trip to New Jersey

In February thanks to Stacy and Jason I got a trip to New Jersey. Stacy was having a procedure done and wanted me to come and help...with the kids that is not the procedure! I had a great time there with the kids...and with Stacy and Jason! We all got to have a snow day when a blizzard struck and everyone was stranded at home and weren't able to go to work or school. The snow was just beautiful...from the inside!

A trip to Utah

On May 15th. we flew to Utah for Mike's high school reunion. They were going to tear down the school so he wanted to go and see it for the last time!

Another trip to New Jersey In August we went to New Jersey to stay with Stacy and her family. Jason was starting a new job in Minnesota and Stacy was staying behind until they had the movers come. Since she was going to be alone with the kids for a couple of weeks we flew up. We really had a fun time visiting, being with Stacy and the kids and getting to go to some fun places!!

We started off the week by going to Bastco village. Here is Stacy and the kids and Mike in front to the mansion.The next day we went to Washington DC where we were able to see the Temple and go through the visitor center.While in Washington DC we visited the Air and Space Museum!The next day we went to the Edison museum...it was really amazing!We also got to tour the Edison Mansion...here we are in the yard of the Edison Mansion.The next day was Sunday so we went to Stacy's ward...they thought Mike looked like President Uchtdorf!We took Sunday pictures on the stairs...

We were excited to see all the fireflies in the evening...here is a picture of the kids trying to catch them.

The next day we went to the beach...it was a blast. The water was so warm. Mike and Stacy went diving for big shells. We ended up bringing home an armload of them!

The next day we went to Valley Forge. It was a lot of walking and a lot of looking. It was very interesting.

We had a blast in New Jersey with Stacy and the Kids. We were sad they were moving. There was always so much to see and do in and around New Jersey!

Another Trip to Utah!

In September we got to fly to Utah to see our newest grandson...Wesley David Patten. He is such a beautiful little guy. We were able to be there for his blessing. I stayed an extra week and was able to spend time with Wesley, Shawn and Kim.

A trip to Minnasota!

In September Ben turned 8 years old and got baptised in October. We were able to fly to M.N. for Ben's baptism. It was a really nice baptism...we were so proud of Ben and his choice to be baptised. He is such a wonderful young man!

While we were there we got to visit the Mall of America. Jason also treated us to Dinner at the Rain Forest restaurant and a tour of the aquarium. It was a very fun day!
